Original Lino Prints

I love being outdoors walking, every walk throws up a new sky, flower or view. I always take photographs on my walks. My prints are inspired by my walks and travels. Each print is individual and will vary in some way from the next print due to the amount of ink on the roller or pressure applied when printing. Some are made with a single layer of coloured ink, others will be multiple layers built up over days, sometimes weeks.

I started lino printing about 8 years ago when my son bought me a lino kit for Christmas. Two lino artists local to me have taught me so much. They are Annette Rolston at Designer Makers21 in Diss where I learned to produce a jigsaw style print. The other is Gill Thornton at Brick Kiln Pottery. I was inspired by Gill’s prints with reflection in the water or on the sand. I learned the joy of blended roller work.

I am very much still learning and making mistakes but totally passionate about the journey I’m on.
